Licences

There are two types of fishing licences :

• The type A licences allow you to fish with one or two lines on the waterline and use a net (only to pull in the fish caught with the line). The price of the licence is set at 12,39 € (+ 1,75€ for postage).
• The type B licences allow you to exercise all types of fisheries allowed for type A licences. Moreover, they also allow you to fish with one or two lines elsewhere than the waterline (piers, benches, planks), as well as with other fishing gears. The price of the licence is set at 37,18€ (+ 1,75€ for postage).
  

The prices of the fishing licences have not been raised since 1989 !

The licence is mandatory!

The licence can be requested at the post offices of the entire Walloon region. It is personal and valid for the current year. To find out the closest post office to you, please click here. You can also request your permit on our website and pay by bank transfer or by Visa/MasterCard.

Some exceptions

The only persons dispensed of having licences are:

• Children under 14 can fish without a licence on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and school holidays if they are accompanied by an adult with a licence. An adult can accompany only four children and the children cannot fish with more than one hand line and a single fishhook.
• The participants in a publicly announced fishing competition, organized by a fishing association with headquarters in the Walloon region, who do not reside in the Walloon Region. The dispensation is only valid during the competition.
