Night fishing
What permit is required for night fishing ?
To fish at night, you must have a Type C fishing permit.
Permit C allows everything that is authorized under Permit B, plus day and night carp fishing, year-round, using up to three rod setups with plant-based bait or reconstituted flour-based bait. Fishing must be done from the bank only, including from a removable platform that is not left in place after fishing.

When is night fishing allowed ?
Night fishing for common carp is permitted all year round in calm waters.
Where is night fishing allowed ?
Night fishing is only permitted from the water’s edge and in the main course of rivers located in the calm-water zone, as well as in lakes and ponds within that same zone — with the exception of the following lakes and ponds :
- Lake Nisramont
- The Bocq pond in Scy
- The Happe ponds fed by the Cresses stream in Ciney
- The Trapperie pond in Habay
- The Pont d'Oyes pond in Habay
- The Châtelet pond in Habay
- The Fabrique Pond in Habay
- The Remy pond in Habay
- The Poix pond in Poix-Saint-Hubert
