Fishing in mixed waters
The three water zones concern both navigable and non-navigable waterways. Each zone (calm, mixed, and fast) has its own specific regulations.
When to fish in the mixed water zone ?

Fishing is allowed from one hour before the official sunrise time until one hour after the official sunset time.

- The Amblève downstream from the Sougné-Remouchamps bridge
- The Chiers
- The Dender in sections not classified as navigable waterways, as well as its tributaries
- The Dyle downstream from the confluence with the Gala (or Cala)
- Tributaries of the Scheldt and Lys within the Scheldt-Lys sub-basin
- The Eau d’Heure
- The Hantes downstream from the French border at Montignies Saint Christophe
- The Lesse downstream from the confluence with the Lhomme
- The Mehaigne and its tributary the Soile
- The Neufchâteau stream downstream from Lake Neufchâteau
- The Orneau downstream from Onoz
- The Ourthe downstream from the Nisramont dam
- The Geer
- The Rulles downstream from the Fabrique pond
- The Semlois
- The Senne
- The Vesdre downstream from the confluence with the Hoëgne
- The Vierre downstream from the confluence with the Neufchâteau stream
- The Vire, from the confluence of the Ru du Fond du Haza to the confluence with the Ton

Particularities of the mixed water zones
- Fishing with lures and dead bait (on a rig) is allowed from the first Saturday of March until pike season opens (the first Saturday of June). In this context, only lures or rigs measuring a maximum of 7 cm in total length (including hooks and baitfish) may be used. Only minnow (vairon) and gudgeon (goujon) are permitted as baitfish on a rig.
- Barbless hooks or hooks with flattened barbs are mandatory.
- Fishing for species in Group 2 — which includes carnivor fish — is permitted from the first Saturday of June until January 31 of the following year.
- It is forbidden to harvest brown trout (truite fario) longer than 50 cm.
- Night fishing for common carp is prohibited.
