Our training programs

The budgetary fund supporting fisheries management in Wallonia offers three levels of training.

Each level represents a progression in the trainer's involvement in guiding and mentoring learners :

Level 1 Trainer : Responsible for supervising learners and training them in fishing techniques and aquatic ecology.

Level 2 Trainer : Manages a fishing school, including its promotion, organization, safety management, required authorizations, and supervision of the trainer team during introductory activities.

Level 3 Trainer : Contributes to the training of Level 1 and Level 2 trainers. They must be able to present the material in a dynamic and engaging way, tailored to the target audience.

These qualification levels are structured based on :

  • Prerequisites : Skills required before beginning the training
  • Role profile : Ability to apply and integrate knowledge (know-what), skills (know-how), and attitudes (know-being) in an educational context
  • Target audience : The group under the trainer’s guidance
  • Training context : The setting, field, and location where the training takes place
